Orienteering
Participants learned compass skills that were reinforced on group excursions. Basic map reading skills were introduced as participants visited roads, trails, waterways and other key sites within the park. Students worked with satellite navigation equipment and played key roles on Map and Expedition Teams during watershed study activities. They even named some brooks!
